Lagoon Retreat
Overview
The villa stands on stilts at the edge of a lagoon that stays waist-deep for a hundred metres. Your host lives on the island and plans each day with you the evening before: a reef, a sandbar, or nothing at all. Most guests settle into a pattern by the second morning and keep it.
Your Day
- 07:30 — Coffee and fruit left on your deck
- 09:00 — Dhoni to the outer reef while the water is flat
- 10:15 — Drift snorkel along the reef wall with your host
- 12:00 — Grilled reef fish on a sandbar
- 14:00 — Back at the villa for shade and a hammock
- 17:30 — Paddleboards out for the last hour of light

Good to Know
The day above is an example, and your host adjusts it to wind and tide. Snorkel gear, paddleboards and kayaks are kept at the villa. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so guests landing in Malé after 3:30 pm spend their first night near the airport.

How do I get from the airport to my island?
Your host meets you in the arrivals hall at Malé and walks you to the seaplane or speedboat. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so if you land after about 3:30 pm we book you a night near the airport first.
When is the best time of year to come?
December to April is driest and calmest. May to November brings more rain and wind, along with lower prices and the manta ray season. Our journal has a month-by-month guide.
Can you cater for allergies and dietary needs?
Yes. Tell us when you enquire and your host will plan the menus with the cook before you arrive. Vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free are all routine.
Is there Wi-Fi and phone signal?
Every villa has Wi-Fi that is good enough for calls and streaming. Mobile signal is reliable on the islands and patchy on the boats between them.
What if I need to cancel or move my dates?
You can cancel free of charge up to 30 days before arrival, and move your dates once at no cost up to 14 days before. The full terms are on our Terms of Service page.
