Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when we have received a 30% deposit and sent you written confirmation. The balance is due 30 days before arrival. Prices are in US dollars and are per guest unless we say otherwise.

Your confirmation lists exactly what is included. Flights to Malé, travel insurance and visas are never included.

If you cancel or change dates

  • 30 days or more before arrival: full refund of everything paid.
  • 29 to 8 days before: we keep the deposit and refund the rest.
  • 7 days or fewer before: no refund.

You may move your dates once, free of charge, up to 14 days before arrival, subject to availability. Any difference in price for the new dates applies.

If we cancel or change plans

Boats and seaplanes do not run in unsafe weather. If conditions stop an excursion we will move it to another day of your stay, or refund it if that is not possible. If we have to cancel a whole stay we will offer new dates or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

We are not responsible for costs outside the booking, such as flights, when a change is caused by weather, airline schedules or other events beyond our control. This is one reason we ask every guest to hold travel insurance.

On the islands

Your host and boat crew are responsible for your safety on the water, and their decisions about conditions are final. Please tell us before you travel about any medical condition, allergy or limit on swimming ability that affects what you can do.

Coral, shells and marine life must be left where they are. Guests who put themselves, others or the reef at risk may be asked to end an activity without a refund.

Our responsibility

We choose villas, boat operators and guides with care, but some services are provided by independent businesses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the booking.
